  1. How wonderful this must have tasted! I enjoyed your blog a lot with the vivid images. You’ve got a lovely title too.

  2. I don’t live in Ohio or, I suspect, anywhere near you or the Civilised Caveman BUT you have an open invitation to come to Sydney WITH your paleo banana bread chocolate truffles… :-)

Do you think they would work with coconut oil instead of palm shortening?? I don’t have it on hand.

    • Yes, I actually had a reader try it yesterday and I suggested that she start with half the amount recommended for the palm shortening and then taste test from there, you just don’t want the banana bread to be too weighed down and oily. She said it worked great and she was really happy with it, I’m not sure of the exact amount she used though. Let me know what works for you!

  4. Damn, our blogs have really similar names! Oh well, great minds think alike right? Haha. These look delicioussss.

ok, so I saw the beautiful photos and the chocolate just jumped right off the screen and into my mouth. I made 2 loaves of the banana bread–just like you suggested. You were correct. Can’t wait for breakfast tomorrow… I ended up with 52 truffles so, perhaps mine were a tad smaller. However, I ended up using 1 1/2 packages of the mini chocolate chips! Of course, nothing wrong with a little chocolate but it definitely took more than a cup. Hubby gives them a “9 1/2”, grand-daughter said 10 and 3/4 and I said 10… so, they are a huge hit. Thanks!

    • I’m so happy it was such a huge hit with everyone! It’s definitely one of my favorite recipes I’ve ever made. I had to give mine away so I didn’t eat them all! Good call on the second banana bread, I’m glad you took my advice! :) weird that it took so much chocolate, but kind of awesome at the same time because chocolate is the best! Thanks for commenting!

  6. Oh my goodness, this blog is just sinful. I need help, I really think I’m getting in over my head and I haven’t even made any of the recipes yet..banana and chocolate, ahhh…say no more. Thanks for sharing.

    Be Blessed!
